Google review signs for food trucks

Nobody stands still longer than a food truck customer waiting for their order. They are holding their phone, they just paid, and they have nothing to do for five minutes. If your truck has a Google listing, that wait is the best review opportunity in food service.
Where it goes on a truck
On the serving ledge, beside the cash box or card reader, next to the order hatch. Customers waiting to collect should be able to tap it without reaching inside.
On a windy day, tuck the stand against the window frame or keep it inside the hatch and hold it out to each customer as you hand back their change.
Asking while they wait
Say it when you hand back change or the receipt: "Your order's about five minutes — if you want to help us out, tap the sign." Most will have reviewed before the food is ready.
Why reviews matter more for a truck
People decide between trucks parked side by side, often by checking Google in the line. A truck with recent reviews and photos looks open and busy; one with few looks like a gamble.
Questions, answered
- Does the sign work outdoors in direct sun?
- Yes. Unlike a QR code, NFC does not depend on light or glare. The tap works in full sun.
- My truck moves locations. Does that matter?
- No. The sign links to your Google listing, not to a place, so it works wherever you park.
