How NFC review signs work
An NFC review sign removes every step between a happy customer and a published Google review. There is no app to download, no QR code to line up, and nothing to type.
1. Your review link goes on the chip
Each product contains an NTAG chip, the same technology used for contactless payment. We write your Google Business Profile review URL onto it and lock the formatting so it opens reliably on both iOS and Android.
2. The customer taps
They hold the top of their phone near the sign. A notification appears, they tap it, and your Google review form opens. The whole interaction takes about three seconds.
3. You watch the reviews arrive
Products that include a QR code use a unique short link per unit, so you can see which card or stand is actually being used and place more of them where they work.
Frequently asked questions
- Do customers need an app to use an NFC review sign?
- No. NFC reading is built into iPhone 7 and later and into every modern Android phone. The customer holds their phone near the sign and the review page opens in their normal browser.
- Where do I find my Google review link?
- You usually don’t need to. Type your business name and we find it on Google, show you its name, address and rating, and build the review link once you confirm it is yours. You can also paste the link from your Google Business Profile under "Ask for reviews".
- Can I change the link later?
- The NFC chip itself is rewritable with any NFC writer app, so you can change it yourself at any time. Products that include a QR code point at a short URL we host, so we can redirect those to a new destination without reprinting anything.
- What if I want to programme the tags myself?
- Order the blank, unprogrammed tags. They ship with nothing written to them, ready for you to encode in store. This is what most agencies and resellers choose.
- Does this violate Google review policies?
- Making it easier for a customer to find your review form is fine. Offering incentives in exchange for a review, or filtering who gets asked, is not. These products simply shorten the path to the review form.
- How long does delivery take?
- Every chip is encoded and tested by hand, which takes one to two business days, then ships. Shipping is free on orders over $75.
