Google review signs for bars and lounges

A bartender in warm low light shows a black Review us on Google tap stand on the bar beside the till

28 September 2026 · 3 min read

Plans for a night out are often made on a phone: someone searches bars nearby and sends a link to the group. Reviews and photos decide which link gets sent. A busy bar with few reviews is invisible in that search.

On the bar and by the register

An acrylic stand on the bar, between taps or near the register where tabs are settled, is in front of guests the whole evening. Low light does not matter: NFC needs no light, unlike a QR code.

When to mention it

When a tab is closed and the guest is in a good mood — especially after a good cocktail or a great night with the bartender. A light "if you had a good time, tap here" is enough.

What not to do

Never offer a free drink for a review. It breaks Google's policy and, as of 2024, the FTC's rule on reviews in the US. The ask on its own works.

Questions, answered

Will spills damage the sign?
No. The chip is sealed, and the acrylic wipes clean.
How many signs does a bar need?
One by the register and one or two along the bar for a typical room.
