Google review signs for dentists and clinics

Patients choose clinics on reviews more than almost any other trade, and clinics collect fewer of them than almost anyone. The blocker is usually discomfort about asking, not the patient.

Reception, after the next appointment is booked

The right moment is when the visit is over and the next one is in the diary: relief is high and the patient is standing still. A stand on the reception desk, facing the patient side, catches it.

What reception can say without crossing a line

"If you were happy with your visit today, there is a tap-to-review sign here" is a request about service, not treatment. It asks nothing about the patient's condition and nobody is being sorted by how they felt.

Never write a patient's name, treatment or appointment into anything the review process touches. The sign holds one link and nothing else, which is part of why it suits clinics.

Answer reviews carefully

Replying is good practice, but a public reply must never confirm that someone was a patient or mention their treatment. A short, neutral thank-you is enough, and it signals to future patients that the practice is attentive.

Questions, answered

Is asking patients for reviews allowed?
Asking is, in most jurisdictions, as long as there is no incentive and no filtering. Check your own regulator's advertising guidance for wording rules.
What about negative reviews mentioning treatment?
Reply briefly, invite them to contact the practice directly, and take the detail offline. Never respond with clinical information.
