Google review signs for convenience stores and bodegas

A corner store might serve hundreds of people a day, many of them every day. The review count rarely reflects it. Regulars do not think of reviewing the place they buy coffee and a paper — until something by the register reminds them.
Room by a crowded register
Convenience store counters are full: lottery, gum, chargers, a tip jar. The 3x5" stand fits beside the card reader. If there is no counter space at all, hand the customer a tap card from behind the register.
Talking to regulars
You know your regulars by name. A quick "we're trying to get more reviews — would you tap that for us?" to the people who like you will bring in more than months of waiting.
Customers in two languages
In Miami, many bodega customers speak Spanish first. The review form opens in whatever language their phone uses, so the sign works the same for everyone.
Questions, answered
- Is it worth it for a small store?
- The more customers you serve, the more a single sign pays back, and a convenience store serves a lot of them.
- Can someone steal it from the counter?
- It is possible. Keep it on your side of the card reader, where it is in reach for a tap but not easy to pocket.
