Google review signs for garages and auto repair

Garages live or die on trust, and trust online is spelled reviews. The handover is one of the strongest review moments in any trade — the customer has their keys back and the bill was what you said it would be.
The service desk at handover
Put the stand where keys change hands. The customer is facing you, the job is finished, and whatever anxiety they arrived with is gone. That combination is why garage reviews written at handover are longer and warmer than any that arrive later.
The waiting area is the second spot
Customers waiting for an MOT or a quick service have twenty minutes and nothing to do. A sign on the table gets taps from people who already decided you were straight with them at booking.
Ask about the specific thing you did
"If you can mention the clutch job, that helps people searching for it" turns a generic five stars into a review that ranks for a service you want more of. Google reads review text, and so do the customers deciding whether you handle their problem.
Questions, answered
- Do fleet or trade customers leave reviews?
- Less often, and it matters less — they are not searching. Aim the sign at retail customers, who are the ones reading Maps.
- What about mobile mechanics with no premises?
- A card in the van works the same way: hand it over with the invoice and ask while you are still standing there.
